Welcome to DC-Wiki.com! This site has the intentions to list every Distributed computing project and every distributed computing team that wishes to be included in the wiki. Team White Hot believes that since this site is about Distributed computing it might as well have a distributed work load to everyone that already helps in the DC world. Just to keep up with the theme. ;-) We encourage all teams to sign up and update this as necessary, some teams may already find that their pages have been created, we are sorry if we missed a team, or have not yet gotten to them. If a team wishes to create a new page, please copy and paste from our default page, we would like to keep every team as uniform as possible.

How To Write

Try to stay away from I, me, or any other first person narrative words. Write this from an outsiders point of view, because people will not know who wrote it, so it will be confusing to whoever reads it. The sysops will be patrolling the wiki to make sure that this POV is not used.

To write to DC-Wiki.com a login is required. We do not allow anonymous editing/creating. So please feel free to sign up and edit as much as you would like, we will not give out any information that you submit to our website.

Introduction

In mid March 2008, Team White Hot attempted to create a section for distributing computing on Wikipedia. The purpose was to try and show everything that the individual team does to help out the distributed computing projects and show all of the work that they deliver to each project. Unfortunately, however, Wikipedia did not deem the distributed computing teams noteworthy enough to be listed on their site. Hence Team White Hot's page was deleted by one of the many Administrators. Unfazed by the deny at Wikipedia Brett from Team White Hot decided to register dc-wiki.com and create his own wiki to show the wonderful things each team does to the world by having the teams and projects listed in one place.
